No Call
Just a quick update. We didn't receive a call from Justice on Sunday. This wasn't unexpected, except the previous Sunday we did get a call from her, and that was unexpected. When she was living with us, she called her dad every Sunday, usually several times.
We assume this means she's more than moved on.
Alternatley, it could mean that her father doesn't have the money, time or patience to allow her to call us.
So, all that leaves now is the hearing that takes place, I believe, this week.
Semi-officially, this chapter of our lives, and thus this blog, are closed.
I might change this to a blog about our baby, due in September.

Although I am sad that the blog will end, it has been one that gives me hope about the goodness and kindness of people and has lent incredible insight into the "system". I hope Justice can finally settle down to just being a kid after all she's been through. Congratulations to you and Lil on the baby! You two are amazing parents.
Thanks lumi. I can't tell you what a relief and an encouragement it was to get any kind of praise at all from anyone. It seems like the system automatically assumes everyone is out to do evil. Whenever Justice's attorney would offer us any kind of praise, it was throwing a starving dog a filet mignon, medium rare. Mmmm, tasty!
thanks for the condolences...and congrats on your baby news! hopefully i will have baby news next year some time.
and how awesome to have shown justice what it's like to be cared for.
